SUMMARY OF POSITION
Class ONE Drivers
Drive assigned routes within your preferred driving areas to have truck/ trailer loaded or unloaded of various materials that are being hauled. Driver will perform daily Pre and Post-trip inspections of vehicle, including trailer. Driver will complete and submit the vehicle condition reports as required. Driver will be responsible for securing Proof of Delivery (POD) receipts for loads dropped off or loads received.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to follow instructions and policies and procedures and operate equipment
- Perform visible inspections of the tractor and trailer to inspect for safe operations visual checks of potential water, oil, fuel, hydraulic and air leaks
- Conduct inspections of all safety equipment, gauges, fluid levels, lighting system, and check to ensure that all electrical systems are operational
- H2S Alive, First Aid, Load Securement, WHMIS and other safety documentations
- Min 3 years experience hauling oil field, cranes and large equipment
- Drive a truck/ trailer equipped with multi-speed transmission
- Connect and disconnect semi-trailer and hoses
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and co-workers in a professional manner
- Maintain up-to-date drivers log throughout the duration of each shift.
- Must be able to perform physical work at times (lifting in excess of 50lbs) not in all run types
- Complete driver logbooks, bill of lading, inspection reports (pre, post, en-route)
- Capable of travelling through out Canada and the US
- Pass random drug testing
- Clean drivers abstract
- Report to Supervisors
